Read Write City: Developing a literary strategy for the city of Glasgow

In parallel with Bookcity, ASK Research Center is pleased to open a discussion on the role of cultural events in the development of social capital at the local level. The discussion will focus on Glasgow's two main book festivals, Aye Write! (for adults) and Wee Write! (for children) as not purely commercial enterprises, but in their aim to serve the communities in reader development, literacy, cultural engagement and inclusion, as well as showcasing national and international writers.
