Intersectionality and theatrical practices
The artist Adelita Husni-Bey gives a seminar dedicated to the genealogy of the term intersectionality, born from American feminist movements.
What does an "intersectional reading" mean? Why is it important to recognize these specificities from a legal point of view in full crisis of migrants?
An intersectional readings means paying attention to the many interconnected ways in which it manifests class oppression, race and gender and is a current of thought little known in Italy, although essential for deep analysis of difference. During the workshop the artist is building together with the students an analytical laboratory that through collective readings of texts and theatrical practice will explore the different translations of the theme in the visual arts.
